Attorney Jason Kalafat is a senior partner at Price Benowitz, LLP. A veteran criminal defense attorney, Mr. Kalafat has defended clients in local, state, and federal courts from a wide variety of criminal charges. In 2002, Mr. Kalafat began his criminal defense career as a Deputy Public Defender in the nation's fourth most populous county in Phoenix, Arizona where he concentrated on felony and misdemeanor cases at the trial level, including extreme DUI, felony Aggravated DUI, and vehicular homicide offenses. Mr. Kalafat joined the prestigious criminal defense law firm of Kimerer &Derrick in 2005.
Mr. Kalafat graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 2000. While in law school, he participated in the Moot Court program. Mr. Kalafat has presented on numerous legal topics at the Arizona State University College of Law and the Phoenix School of Law, and he has been a guest speaker at the Arizona Public Defender Association's annual conference. Mr. Kalafat graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University in 1997, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. He was the university's Arts & Sciences Graduate of the Year.
