Mark Morales is the founding partner of Morales, Huie & Sparks. He is a Williamson County native who began his career as an Assistant District Attorney after graduating from the Texas Tech School of Law in 2001. Throughout his 15-year career, he has been the lead trial lawyer in cases ranging from murder, sexual assault, drug offenses, and assault family violence. In addition, as a prosecutor and defense attorney, Mark has worked on thousands of DWI cases. In order to provide the best defense for his clients, he has undergone the same training and certification that police officers have in Field Sobriety Testing. After his years as a prosecutor, Mark started defending clients in 2003 and quickly earned a reputation as one of the ‘go-to’ lawyers in the county due to his negotiation skills, trial abilities, and high success rate. In fact, as a lead defense trial lawyer in Williamson County, Mark has not lost a trial.
Mark has personally defended over 3,000 people accused of Felony and Misdemeanor cases in Williamson County where he has worked closely with the judges and prosecutors. For his work, Mark has received many awards and accolades. He was named by Texas Monthly Magazine as a Super Lawyer Rising Star and one of the top lawyers in Texas for two years in a row. Less than 2.5% of all lawyers in the state receive this honor. This award is based on peer recognition and professional achievement. For 2014 and 2015, Mark was named by the National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer. Additionally, he is one of only 100 Texas attorneys who is a recognized lifetime member of the Rue Ratings, Best Attorneys of America. Less than 1% of attorneys in the United States have been invited to be member and all nominated attorneys must pass a peer review board to be accepted as members.
“When I first started my practice, I was asked by one of my first clients, ‘What would you do if you were in my shoes?’ The answer to that question has been the foundation of my practice since that day. The way I approach each case is to fight for every client as I would fight for myself or my own family, and I believe that this is the reason for my success. Come in for a consultation and you will be confident that you have put your trust in the right lawyer, because I will work hard to protect your record and your freedom.” –Mark Morales
