About Season

Season is a founding partner at Tatum & Atkinson, PLLC. Season's practice today focuses on representing people who have been injured or harmed when someone else is at fault.

Season received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Marshall University in 1997 and earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University in 2000. While in law school, Season was employed in the civil litigation section of the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, which focused exclusively on cases involving employment discrimination and civil rights claims. In addition to being licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Season also maintains an active law license in West Virginia.

Season began her legal career in North Carolina as a Special Deputy Commissioner at the North Carolina Industrial Commission, the administrative agency that oversees the workers' compensation system in our state.   In this role, she gained not only an understanding of the intricacies of the Workers' Compensation Act, but she also became familiar with the procedural and organizational functioning of the Industrial Commission. Since leaving the Industrial Commission, Season has litigated cases before the Industrial Commission and, as a result, she is experienced in all facets of workers' compensation claims advocacy from preliminary evaluation to mediation, depositions, hearing and appeal, if necessary. Season has appeared at all levels of the Industrial Commission as well as the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.  Season is also experienced in handling cases arising before the Employment Security Commission and in matters involving employment law and the Family and Medical Leave Act.
