Wes Farrell is the law firm's founding partner. He has been instrumental in the firm's rapid growth, opening full service offices in Miami, Tampa, Houston and New Orleans and forging co-counsel relationships to serve clients nationwide. Farrell's focus includes class action and mass tort litigation, and he is currently the lead attorney representing one of the largest groups of business owners in the hospitality industry for their substantial claims against BP due to economic losses from the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
Mr. Farrell has been certified as a life member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Approximately 3,000 attorneys have been admitted representing less than 1 percent of the lawyers practicing in the U.S. To better serve Farrell & Patel clients, this exclusive forum provides a national network of experienced colleagues for professional referral and information exchange in major cases.
Mr. Farrell has been featured on several publications and media outlets, most notably on the cover of Asian Hospitality magazine. Farrell was also recently invited onto Huffington Post Live to discuss the terms of the $4.5 billion BP criminal settlement with the U.S. government.
Mr. Farrell's philanthropic activities are varied and include supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami, and mentoring inner-city youth as an Ambassador for the City Year Organization.
He holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a J.D. /M.B.A. from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens, Fla.
