Andrew P. Abood is a partner of the Abood Law Firm, a prominent law firm with locations in East Lansing and Birmingham, Michigan. The Abood Law Firm was originally established by Andrew P. Abood's father, Frederic S. Abood, in 1961. Andrew P. Abood continued his father's legacy by establishing his own practice, the Abood Law Firm, in 1997. A google search would identify Andrew P. Abood's appearance on Nancy Grace, Larry King, and Joan Velez Mitchell as a result of his representation of Drew Peterson from 2007 to 2010. In addition, when Ingham County Sheriff's department engaged in the largest use of resources to search for 7-year-old Ricky Holland ? and its focus was on Lisa and Tim Holland ? Lisa's parents came to the Abood Law Firm and retained Andrew P. Abood.

When the Honorable Beverley Nettles Nickerson was wrongfully arrested by Meridian Township and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, she trusted Andrew P. Abood to represent her and to ultimately get the charges dismissed. When Attorney Charles Ford's cousin was charged with Open Murder for the death of his girlfriend, Charles Ford turned to Andrew P. Abood to obtain a verdict of not guilty on the Murder charge. Many others have similar stories.

Andrew P. Abood began working alongside his father in 1987 first as a law clerk and then as a lawyer. Here, Andrew P. Abood developed strong advocacy skills with an attention to detail. Andrew P. Abood became committed to the firm's philosophy that for every wrong there is a remedy. He believes that this single philosophy applies across the board to the defense of those wrongfully charged.

From 1990 to 1992, Andrew P. Abood clerked for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Michael Cavanagh. During that time, Andrew P. Abood was exposed to arguments by some of the best attorneys in the State. He worked directly on complex legal problems that had reached the State's highest court.

Andrew P. Abood graduated from Michigan State University in 1987 with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. While at Michigan State University, he was a member of the varsity golf team. After receiving his B.A., Andrew P. Abood completed his law degree at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Andrew P. Abood's passion and knowledge for the law allowed him to graduate two semesters early in the top five of his class (receiving book awards in several classes). While in Law School, Andrew P. Abood was a member of the Cooley Law Review and was published twice. Andrew P. Abood received top marks on the Bar Exam, which granted him admittance in Colorado as well as Michigan.
