A native of Augusta, Georgia, Mr. Worthington moved to the Atlanta area in 2005. In 2007 Mr. Worthington began his career in criminal law by interning at the Rockdale District Attorney's Office under Richard R. Read, District Attorney. While there he practiced under Georgia's Third Year Practice Act beginning in the summer of 2007.
The experience would prove invaluable, as he prosecuted a variety of felony and misdemeanor cases. In 2008 Mr. Worthington accepted a position at the Rockdale County District Attorney's Office as an investigator primarily focusing on serious traffic cases involving DUIs, Serious Injury by Motor Vehicle, and Vehicular Homicide.
Mr. Worthington entered private practice in 2008 and is a founding partner of Coxen & Worthington, LLC. His practice is devoted to criminal defense, family law, workmen's compensation and social security disability.
Mr. Worthington regularly volunteers as an attorney adviser for the Eastside High School Mock Trial Team in Covington, Georgia. Additionally he is a member of the Covington Kiwanis Club.
