Calvin Tregre practices out of the Cincinnati office of Bey & Associates, LLC.  He has spent his entire legal career as a civil trial lawyer representing individuals who have been injured or harmed.  Mr. Tregre has nearly two decades of experience representing plaintiffs in individual actions, class actions, and multidistrict litigation.  He has practiced in both state and federal court in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, defective pharmaceutical drugs, defective medical devices, general products liability, consumer protection, and civil rights.

Mr. Tregre has represented clients in many different types of cases such as automobile and trucking collisions, tire explosions, apartment and home fires, premises liability, table saw and power tool injuries, sexual abuse and harassment, dangerous prescription drugs, and defective medical devices.  He has also represented clients in commercial and contractual disputes.  Mr. Tregre was one of the key attorneys who served as class counsel and successfully represented over 40,000 season ticket holders in a class action against the Cincinnati Bengals and Hamilton County involving a contractual dispute over their personal seat licenses in Paul Brown Stadium.  He also represented club seat season ticket holders in a second class against the Bengals that was successfully resolved.  Mr. Tregre has represented hundreds of clients in national pharmaceutical product liability litigation, including the PPA, Ephedra, Ortho Evra, Fosamax, Yasmin/Yaz, Testosterone, Xarelto, and Depakote litigations.  He is particularly experienced in representing patients who have suffered blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, heart attack, and stroke.  As a Shareholder at his prior firm, Mr. Tregre was an integral part of the team who resolved claims for over 1,000 clients in the Yasmin/Yaz birth control pill litigation.  More recently, Mr. Tregre was a member of the trial team who won a seven-figure medical malpractice verdict in Franklin County, Ohio in an action against a doctor who wrongfully prescribed the prescription drug Lamictal to a minor.  He has appeared, submitted briefs, argued, and tried cases in state and federal trial courts and appellate courts.

Mr. Tregre has been recognized as a top attorney by several publications and organizations, such as Cincinnati MagazineWho’s Who in Black Cincinnati, and Best Lawyers in America.  He has been named as an Ohio Super Lawyer and Rising Star, a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers, and a Top 100 Attorney by the National Black Lawyers.  He has been recognized and chosen as a top attorney by these and other organizations because of his dedication to his profession, his clients, and his community.

Mr. Tregre is a native of New Orleans, but has made Cincinnati his home for the past twenty-three years.  He graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a Bachelors of Science in Biology Pre-Med and then went on to complete law school at the University of Cincinnati, College of Law.  While in law school, Mr. Tregre served as a legal advocate in Student Court, was an active member of the Black Law Students Association, and served on the Moot Court Honors Board.  Mr. Tregre has continued to be involved in the legal community and routinely volunteers with organizations such as the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Bar Association, and the Summer Work Experience in Law (SWEL) Program.  He is also involved in the community at large, having spent much of his time volunteering as a youth football, baseball, basketball, and soccer coach, and often serving as a mentor to high school and college students.  Mr. Tregre enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time in the outdoors.  He lives in Cincinnati with his wife Ebony, and their three children Caleb, Salomé, and Sadie.
