Hussain Ismail joined Baron & Budd's Dallas office in 2018 as a member of the Firm's Asbestos Litigation and Settlement Group. He represents individuals who have suffered from asbestos-related diseases and helps victims throughout the lawsuit and settlement process. He advocates on behalf of his clients through arbitrations and mediations to ensure that each client receives the maximum compensation for their injuries.
Hussain Ismail graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts in 2009. He majored in Political Science and minored in Global Health. Mr. Ismail earned his Juris Doctor in 2013 from the University of Houston Law Center in Texas. While in law school, he was the Chief Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of Health Law and Policy and received the Editor of the Year Award in 2013. He was also a member of the University of Houston Law Center's Moot Court team and competed in multiple competitions, including the New York University Immigration Law Moot Court Competition.
Prior to joining Baron & Budd, Mr. Ismail worked at a plaintiff's law firm where his practice focused on pharmaceutical litigation. There, he represented individuals who were injured by defective medical devices and pharmaceutical drugs. He worked on behalf of his clients against the manufacturers of many dangerous drugs and devices, including Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filters, Abilify, and Taxotere.
Mr. Ismail wanted to work at Baron & Budd so he can continue to help victims and their families. "I became an attorney so I could provide a powerful voice for those who cannot fight for themselves. Providing justice to my clients and their families is the most rewarding aspect of being an attorney to me."
Mr. Ismail is originally from Houston, Texas, and is an avid sports fan. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, football, and basketball and traveling the world with his wife.
