Jim was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He received his undergraduate education at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York and attended the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate degree Cum Laude in 1983. Upon his relocation to Florida, he met John Morgan while Morgan and Morgan was still in its infancy.As the the firm grew over the years, Jim served as the Managing Partner of the firms Southwest Florida office until 2007 when hereloocated to Georgia and served as the Managing Partner for that entire state. He also served on the Firms Executive Committee for over 15 years
In January of 2017, Jim left Morgan and Morgan after over 20 years of service and returned to Naples, Fl. There he has established The Kelleher Firm and continurs to represent those injured due to the negligence of others
Since his initial admission to the practice of law in 1984, Jim has been a trial lawyer. He has tried every type of personal injury case to verdict including auto accidents, wrongful death claims, medical malpractice suits, premises liability cases and complex insurance claims. He has numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients
Mr. Kelleher has also been honored with the prestigious AV Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the preeminent national publication in the legal field. According to Martindale-Hubbell, "An AV rating is a significant accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. A lawyer must be admitted to the bar for 10 years or more to receive an AV rating. This rating is based upon evaluations by other lawyers and is the highest ranking attainable by an attorney for ability and ethics in the practice of law. It is a distinction reserved for a select few in the legal community"
He currently resides in Naples, fl. with his wife Susan both of whom remain devoted Buffalo Bills fans
