Joe attended Loyola College in Maryland and graduated with a B.A in political science, having spent both his junior year and half of his senior year studying at the prestigious Katoliek Universiteit (Leuven, Belgium) and St. Louis University (Madrid, Spain) where he focused his studies on International Law and Economics. Based on his early legal experience and experience abroad, Joe was offered a scholarship to attend Chicago-Kent College of Law in the great town of Chicago, Illinois.
Throughout his law school career, Joe worked with several Chicago firms focusing on developing his legal skills in complex medical malpractice and personal injury cases. From 2001 through 2002, Mr. Lyon served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable William H. Hibbler for the Northern District of Illinois, where he drafted federal court opinions for the court. Following graduation, Mr. Lyon returned to Cincinnati to begin his legal career, having accepted a position with the small civil litigation firm he worked with following high school, continuing to develop his skills in medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury.
