Marcus Michles obtained his undergraduate degree from Furman University and his Law Degree from Stetson University College of Law where he was chairman of the Moot Court Board.

Following undergraduate school, Mr. Michles was a Captain in the US Army serving with the 82nd Airborne Division, Third Special Forces Group, and the First Special Operations Command.

While on active duty, Marcus was lead trial counsel in a number of highly sensitive and classified trials for the United States Government. After leaving active duty, Mr. Michles joined a statewide medical malpractice defense firm and became the Managing Partner of the Pensacola office specializing in defending physicians sued for medical negligence. In 1993, Mr. Michles joined the firm of Kerrigan, Estess, Rankin & McLeod where for eight years he specialized in representing personal injury plaintiffs with an emphasis on medical malpractice.

Mr. Michles is board certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Civil Trial Practice and has had some of the largest medical malpractice jury verdicts in northwest Florida. He has had over a dozen verdicts published in local news media, is a member of The Million Dollar Advocates Forum For Trial Lawyers while achieving the highest jury verdicts, and was recently named one of Florida's Top Trial Attorneys by Climate Magazine.

Marcus and his wife Cindy founded the Michles & Booth Family Freedom Foundation which is a charitable organization based in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. The mission of the Family Freedom Foundation is to provide financial assistance in the form of money and professional services (legal, accounting, and financial advice) directly to the families of servicemen, firemen and police killed or seriously injured in the line of duty, with an emphasis on providing funds to establish educational trust funds for the children of these families. The Family Freedom Foundation hopes to raise sufficient collateral to fund an ongoing Trust Fund to manage independent funds for individual families. In addition, a support roster of available local businessmen and women in all aspects of local business will be available to provide assistance as diverse as practical services of moving support, house cleaning, and child care, to professional services such as tax advice and asset protection.
