For more than 30 years, Michael J. From 1977 to 1982, Mr. Beatrice served in the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, prosecuting all types of cases, from homicide to DWI. From 1982 to 1983, he served as Special Prosecutor for the Borough of Fort Lee, and from 1988 to 2004, he was the Municipal Prosecutor for the Township of Mahwah. Since 1982, he has maintained a private law practice in both Hackensack and Mahwah.

Throughout his career, Mr. Beatrice's primary focus has been on serving his clients' needs and best interests. His experience as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney gives him a unique perspective on the law and helps him develop effective legal strategies that have resulted in hundreds of dismissals and not-guilty verdicts.

Mr. Beatrice has litigated and won over 100 jury trials, including homicides, arsons, armed robberies, rapes, kidnapping, vehicular homicides, and possession and distribution of narcotics, and has assisted clients with appealing criminal convictions as well. In addition to recovering compensation for clients in the civil court, he has represented employee groups and professional associations in negotiating public employment contracts.

DUI/Vehicular Homicide Case: An Iraq War veteran was charged with Death-by-Auto for a drunk driving crash that killed two people. Charges carried a maximum of 20 years with a mandatory minimum of 17 years without parole. Mr. Beatrice argued that the blood tests performed on the defendant were in violation of the man's constitutional rights and got charges reduced, which cut his prison sentence by about 15 years and eliminated the no-parole provisions.

Resisting Arrest & Attempted Bribery Case: A man from Italy who had built a successful concrete business in New Jersey but had never applied for U.S. citizenship was charged with resisting arrest and attempted bribery, facing prison and deportation. As part of a plea agreement negotiated by Mr. Beatrice, he got a five-year probationary sentence and a $2,500 fine. Deportation charges were dismissed.
