Partner Nicholas Andrews is a relentless litigator who is uncompromising when it comes to delivering meaningful results for clients. He knows only too well that his work can mean the difference for victims between having a life at home with their family and being forced to live a life in an institution.
That powerful sense of empathy is paired with a sharp legal insight that Andrews has to not just win, but to secure the maximum amount of benefits that his clients are entitled to. Andrews and the team work to litigate and resolve cases that will guarantee catastrophic injury victims the ability to live with and be cared for by their families for years into the future. In 2018 alone, Andrews was instrumental in successfully resolving nine cases for more than a million dollars each—which represents a recovery of more than $18 million for the firm’s clients.
With such a remarkable rate of success, Andrews is playing a critical role in shaping Michigan’s no-fault auto laws. He has testified several times before the Michigan House Insurance Committee and the House Select Committee on Reducing Car Insurance Rates.
Andrews is a 1989 graduate of the Detroit College of Law, where he served as Note & Comment Editor of the Law Review. He has received the highest attorney rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has handled over 70 jury trials in both State and Federal Courts. Andrews has lectured extensively in the areas of trial practice and automobile and insurance law and has been selected as a case evaluator in the Oakland County and Wayne County Circuit Courts. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Michigan Association for Justice, Oakland County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association Eastern District of Michigan Chapter. He serves on the Executive Board of the Michigan Association for Justice where he also serves as a member of the No-Fault Committee and Chairperson of the Case Evaluation Committee. He is also a past Chairperson of the Oakland County Bar Association’s Circuit Court Committee. He is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
