A 1994 graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Mr. Samouris has enjoyed a statewide practice in Michigan with a central location in Lansing. Pete has experienced much success in various areas of law, with a special emphasis in criminal defense. Specifically, he has successfully represented clients in virtually every area of criminal law.
The key to success is an unwavering commitment to hard work, meticulous preparation, and thorough knowledge of the law... - Peter C. Samouris
Mr. Samouris is one of the few lawyers ever to have obtained dismissal of charges in a Homicide case, at the Preliminary Examination level.
In a high profile case involving a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct, Mr. Samouris extracted a jury verdict of Not Guilty, in the lightening fast speed of under one hour. The feat was impressive because Mr. Samouris' client was a teacher accused of molesting the child of a Police Officer, and the negative pretrial publicity was fierce.
Mr. Samouris also has an impressive track record in other areas of criminal law as well, including White Collar Crime, Theft Crimes, Fraud, Credit Card Crime, Assault Crimes, Drunk Driving, Probation Violations, Parole Violations, Criminal Appeals and much more.
