Previously served as a criminal prosecutor for two different Solicitor's Offices in South Carolina during which time he prosecuted numerous criminal cases including murder, armed robbery, drug trafficking, burglary, felony DUI and DUI.
Developed and conducted training for law enforcement officers.
Served as a municipal court prosecutor for the City of Rock Hill during which time he prosecuted offenses including DUI and other traffic offenses.
Served as a corporate in-house counsel for an insurance company and its affiliated companies during which he managed litigation for the companies, provided legal guidance, managed the anti-fraud unit (SIU) and was responsible for legal matters involving all individual and group insurance products.
Served as a regulatory compliance risk advisor with Humana during which time he was responsible for regulatory guidance for group products, COBRA, and was the primary compliance person responsibile for anti-money laundering (AML) implementation and compliance and served as Humana's AML Compliance Officer during part of his tenure. He also provided OFAC guidance.
Has practiced law in private practice both with small law firms and as a solo practictioner.
Previously served as a Commissioner on the South Carolina State Ethics Commission.
