Robert is a lifelong resident of Clay County Missouri and graduated from North Kansas City High School where he was a top 25 nationally ranked debater. He then went to the University of Missouri-Kansas City on an academic scholarship and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors (graduating in the top 10%). As an undergraduate, Robert received several University awards, including the Vice-Chancellor's Student Leader of the Year Award and The Greek Man of the Year Award. Robert also held numerous leadership positions, including the University Chancellor's Extended Cabinet, Interfraternity Council President, and President of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Robert was also inducted into several collegiate honor societies, including Omicron Delta Kappa, Golden Key International Honour Society, and Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society.
Robert attended law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City on an academic scholarship and graduated cum laude (top 15% of his class). He made the Dean's List 5 out of 6 semesters. Robert was a member of the Ellison Moot Court Executive Board and received the top overall speaker award in his class. Robert was a Jack & Helyn Miller Fellowship finalist and was a recipient of the Max Foust Scholarship for Trial Advocacy. During law school, Robert was also a Student Bar Association Representative and was Treasurer of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity.
Robert has secured millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients and routinely obtains some of the highest recoveries in Missouri and Kansas. This past year, Robert received a $700,000.00 jury verdict in Jackson County for a motorcycle accident victim (click for newspaper article). That was the 2nd largest automobile accident verdict in the Greater Kansas City area in 2014 and was top 15 out of all jury verdicts. Robert also recently obtained a $2,000,000.00 settlement for a client who sustained a spinal cord injury during a back surgery.
Robert has extensive experience litigating cases involving brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, failed back surgeries, surgical injuries, orthopedic injuries, epidural hematomas, failure to diagnose cancer, failure to diagnose pulmonary embolism, failure to diagnose or treat infections resulting in sepsis or loss of limbs, failure to diagnose heart attack, stroke, bowel obstruction, failure to diagnose or treat fractures, injuries caused by improper IV drug administration, and compounding pharmacy negligence.
