The scope of his representation includes teaching clients how to operate a medical marijuana collective in full compliance with state and local law, negotiating and litigating at the local level to allow individual collectives to remain operational in the face of city and county opposition, assisting cities and counties in the process of drafting regulations for medical marijuana collectives, and criminal defense on both the state and federal level for clients that require that service. He is committed to providing the best representation available by working closely with clients, understanding their needs special circumstances, and by applying the most resourceful and aggressive strategies and legal representation available. Mr. Candell graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, and received his undergraduate degree at Tufts University in Medford, MA. He is licensed to practice law in all California courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and all New York State Courts. Mr. Candell presents lectures to various community groups throughout the bay area. He lives in Marin with his wife and two children.
