Scott Carlson, is a partner at Carlson & Dumeer, LLC, and focuses his practice on representing clients injured or accused of crimes in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. From a young age, Scott was drawn to the practice of law because of its ability to allow him to help others. Scott now pairs his desire to help others, with his passion for the law, to zealously advocate for those who have been involved in a traumatic life event. Above all, Scott believes in making himself accessible to his clients, and providing straightforward answers to his client's difficult questions.

Prior to founding Carlson & Dumeer, LLC, Scott attended Roger Williams University, where he received a B.A. in Political Science and History. Scott received his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he served as the Executive Notes and Comments Editor for the Roger Williams University Law Review and as Vice President of the University Honor Board. During law school, Scott received numerous awards for his academic excellence, and also interned for the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.

After law school, Scott served a one-year clerkship with the Rhode Island Supreme Court's Law Clerk Department, where he assisted in the disposition and resolution of numerous civil and criminal matters. During this time, Scott prepared decisions, provided recommendations, and performed research on a vast array of complex legal issues.

After his clerkship, Scott worked at a law firm in Massachusetts, where he defended insurance companies and businesses from claims of negligence and bad faith. It was during this time that Scott obtained familiarity with how insurance companies and businesses value and defend cases, from initial claim to trial, and now uses this information to obtain the best results possible for his clients.

Scott also is very active in the community and dedicates a great deal of time to various charitable organizations. He is very actively involved with the Middlesex United Way and sits on the Middlesex United Way's Community Impact Council. In addition, Scott is also very active with the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Young Leaders Society.

In his spare time, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, golf, and is an avid supporter of Manchester United. Scott currently lives in Longmeadow with his wife Emily.
