THEODORE A. SCHWARTZ
Mr. Schwartz, Past President of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, earned his J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law after completing his undergraduate studies at Villanova University. Mr. Schwartz has served on many committees of PaTLA, chairing the Legislative Policy Committee in 1985 and chairing the Continuing Legal Education Committee for 11 years. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and has chaired and/or co-chaired its Civil Procedure Section for two separate one-year terms. He also has served as a Settlement Master and Judge Pro Tem at the request of the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court. He is a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the American Association for Justice, where he has held several leadership posts, including Chair of the Key Person Committee for 5 years, Co-Chair of the State Affairs Committee for 2 years and Co-Chair of the State Legislative Outreach Committee. He served as President of the Civil Justice Foundation from 2000-20002, and has since served on its Executive Committee. He has lectured for the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Society, the Eastern Dental Society, the Montgomery and Bucks County Dental Societies, Temple University School of Medicine and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He has received an adjunct faculty appointment at Suffolk University Law School in Boston. Since 1982, he has authored Pennsylvania Civil Practice and Procedure - Law and Forms, published by the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
